This website was not very useful. First, there was too much information for such a subject that does not seem to be of much importance. Also, the makeup of the website is kind of funky. It seems to be almost just another wikipedia style of information. Why can not there be an educational website that is not so boring. Wow, it was hard to get through all the excersises. The excersies are just testing our knowledge of things we should know. The most helpful statement was "Many people distinguish between two basic kinds of argument: inductive and deductive. Induction is usually described as moving from the specific to the general, while deduction begins with the general and ends with the specific; arguments based on experience or observation are best expressed inductively, while arguments based on laws, rules, or other widely accepted principles are best expressed deductively. Consider the following example:

Good job on being straightforward and direct about feedback for the website. I agree that statement you chose may be one of the few most effective concepts on the website. From what I’ve read from other people’s blogs, I think a lot of people within this class found the website hard to understand. Also, I’m sure the design of the website wasn’t appealing to everyone because it just looked tacky. I think we’re used to websites that are more modernized and easier to navigate. So the combination of poorly designed website and the writing for some concepts were just difficult to understand.
ReplyDeleteI applaud your bluntness and honest opinion of the website. I agree with you that the website was all over the place discombobulated. It was confusing at first for me to read the information provided. Although I thought that the mission critical website was helpful in reviewing the concepts that we should know from what we have learned so far in this semester. Also I thought that it was weird that we were learning about cause and effect in chapter 15 and we took like a test for the concepts we learned from weeks ago. Although it was a useful website, it was very unorganized.
ReplyDeleteI like how you were totally honest and you talked about each part of the website. There was a lot of information for just those two subjects and the exercises did help to boosten up your knowledge about the subject. Although this website was really hard to understand, I think it gave us a better idea of how to use inductive and deductive. i also thought it was weird that we were learning about Cause and effect but we were trying to do excuses about on a subject that was taught a week ago. The website was very convenient but it was still very hard to understand.
